Rite Aid 06/30
I must admit this was my first attempt at the Rite Aid deals with Single Check Rebates. I am a bit hesitant about spending a great deal of money OOP to start with but I figured I needed to start sometime. I did rather well and I am glad I chose this day to start. I originally picked up 6 bottles of the Pert Plus (3 regular and 3 Revive) but the register would not accept all of my $3 off q’s for the Revive so I had her back out 2 bottles. I was surprised it accepted on of the $3 q’s for the only bottle I got. BTW that one bottle had a TMF peelie on it so that will be a money maker on top of being a money maker. I say that because the bottle was on sale for $2.50 and I used the $3 off coupon so it was a .50 money maker to start with. Here is what I managed to get: (1) Coke – 1.29 Total Before Sale – $77.90 - (3) $2/2 Pampers manu q – $6.00 Total after q’s – $25.72 Of this 29.24 I will get back the following SCR: For a total SCH of $16.98 plus I will send in for the TMF rebate on the Pert Shampoo. I am not sure how much I will get back. I will either get back $3.99 (maximum allowed) or $2.50. So even if I say I will get back $2.50 that will be $16.98 plus $2.50 back in my pocket for an ending total of $9.76 OOP. This is not bad considering $3.87 was 20oz drinks for us and $3.52 was tax. If you take subtract the drinks and tax off of the ending total OOP, I will have paid $2.37 for all of the above merchandise!!! Not bad!!! Of course that is not how things work but that is what I like to think about sometimes. My percentage saved on this trip will ultimately be 88% (figuring from retail total to ending OOP of $9.76 [which includes the tax]). Ashley |
