Harris Teeter Triples: Day 6

Sep-23-2009 By Ashley

The final day of triples and I was able to run in and do two transactions. I only missed one day out of the entire week. I am exhausted, the pantry is stocked, we have enough biscuits to feed an army and the poor freezers are crying! I do not have a picture of these deals because my kids were doing homework on the table so I could not set everything up.

Harris Teeter Triples: Day 5

Sep-21-2009 By Ashley

I heard through the grapevine that the General Mills buy 15 get $5 off had a glitch. People were reporting that you did not have to purchase the 15 items for the $5 to come off so of course I was going to try it. I broke up my order into 4 different transactions this time so I could take full advantage of the glitch!

Transaction 1
(5) Green Giant veggies – sale 4.95 – (2) .50/1 (multiplied up to value of product) = 2.97
(3) Grands biscuits – sale 3.00 – .75/3 = .75
(1) Silk Soymilk – 2.99 – .75/1 = .74
(2) Hillshire Farms deli meats – sale 7.00/2 – (2) .55/1 = 3.70
- 3.00 Hillshire Farms Buy 2 get $3 off Promo
- 5.00 GM Promo (it worked!)
+ Tax – .18
Total OOP – .34
I then got back a $3 cat for the GG veggies and a $1 cat for the biscuits!

Transaction 2
(5) Green Giant veggies – 4.95
(3) Grands biscuits – 3.00 – .75/3 = .75
(2) Hillshire farms deli meats – 7.00/2 – (2) .55/1 = 3.70
- $5 GM promo
- $3 Hillshire Farm promo
+ Tax – .17
Total OOP – 1.57
Received a $3 cat for the GG veggies and $1 cat for the biscuits!

Transaction 3
(5) Green Giant veggies – 4.95
(3) Grands biscuits – 3.00 – .75/1 = .75
- 3.00 cat from previous transaction
- 1.00 cat from previous transaction
+ Tax – .13
Total OOP – 1.83
The $5 did not come off this time. I must have pushed my luck on this card. I did get back a $1 cat for the Grands and a $3 cat for the veggies!

Transaction 4
(2) Warm Delights – 3.34 – (2) .50/1 = .34
(3) Fiber One Pastries – 6.00 – (3) .50/1 = 1.50

(1) Gallon Milk – 2.99

Target: September 21

Sep-21-2009 By Ashley

I was reading on AFullCup.com the other day about how I could get some CHEAP dog food and I was not going to pass that up! I hopped over to the Afullcup.com Target Coupon Generator and printed off the necessary coupons and gathered up my mfg coupons and headed out. It did not go quite like it should because I failed to give the cashier the coupons in the correct order. I still did quite well considering!

Transaction 1
(2) Market Pantry Cheese Sticks – .80
(1) Chef Michael bag dog food – sale 4.26
(2) Chef Michael can dog food – 1.68
- 4.26 Chef Michael mfg q*
- 1.50 Target Chef Michael bag q
- .84 Target Chef Michael canned BOGO q
Subtotal – .14
Tax – .30
Total OOP – .44

*The mfg coupon was a bogo coupon for the can of Chef Michaels dog food but for some reason the computer took off the full value of the bag of food. I was unable to use my $1/2 Target cheese coupon on the sticks.

Transaction 2
(2) Market Pantry Cheese Sticks – .80
(1) Chef Michael bag dog food – sale 4.26
(2) Chef Michael can dog food – 1.68
- 3.00 CM bag mfg q
- .84 Target CM can food BOGO q
- .84 Mfg CM can food BOGO q
Subtotal – .56
Tax – .30
Total OOP – .86
Again I was unable to use the $1/2 cheese coupon due to the way the coupons rang up and the register would not adjust the value of the coupon down to the cost of the cheese because it would put me in the negative.

Transaction 3
(2) Market Pantry Cheese Sticks – .80
(1) Chef Michael bag dog food – sale 4.26
(2) Chef Michael can dog food – 1.68
- 4.26 Chef Michael mfg q*
- 1.50 Target Chef Michael bag q
- .84 Target Chef Michael canned BOGO q
Subtotal – .14
Tax – .30
Total OOP – .44
This transaction was a mirror image of the first and I am not sure why the second was different. I just goes to show that it matters what order you hand the cashier the coupons.

Totals
Retail Value – 21.21
Coupon and sale total – 20.37
Tax – .90
Total OOP – 1.74
Percentage saved – 92%

Not that great considering everything should have been free after coupons. Still not too bad for all I got.

Sep-19-2009 By Ashley

I had a sick little one that required me to purchase some hba items that I normally don’t. I decided to go to Walgreen’s to purchase what she needed because I had RR’s left over from a previous trip. I came out very good.

Harris Teeter Triples: Day 4

Sep-19-2009 By Ashley

Just about every time I go to the grocery store I have people ask me is it worth all the time it takes to use coupons. My response is always YES!  Once you get your coupon organizer set up, what ever method you choose, you will find it is not that time consuming to maintain it. I wanted to do a little visual to show you just how much you can save with coupons.
