Harris Teeter Triples: Day 2

Sep-17-2009 By Ashley

I went in today a little better prepared. I was so hoping I would do better than I did the first day of triples. I think I did do a little better.

Got a $3 cat for the Green Giant veggies. This whole transaction just went nuts. I lost too much money here too. I failed to give my coupons for the potatoes (1.50) and miscounted the number of items I had for the GM Promo ($5) so my total would have been reduced by $6.50 making my OOP $2.88! AAAKKKK!!!!!

Walgreens: September 16

Sep-16-2009 By Ashley

After picking up my kids from school I took my oldest out to buy her new shoes. On the way I made a stop into Walgreens for more RR deals.

I then got back a $5 RR for the Triaminic, a $3 RR for the True North and a $2 RR for the Listerine. I was very surprised because originally the catalina did not print for the True North because I used the RR from a previous transaction and they usually don’t roll but the cashier took notice that it did not print and she had the CS lady redo it so I would get it anyway. I so love that cashier :) !

I then got back a catalina for $2 for the Green Giant veggies. *I failed to take out my expired coupons and they got mixed up with the good coupons and I did not clip the new coupons and add them to the binder. This resulted in my only having one good Toaster Strudel coupon and a lot more OOP than expected. I could not take them off the order because then I would lose the $5 promo. ** I picked up the Welch’s Jelly, and again the coupon was expired, but I also had a coupon for .75 off milk wyb the jelly. I had them take off the jelly but they did not take off the milk and the coupon still worked! Needless to say my head was spinning after this transaction!

General Growth Properties (GGP) Malls, TLC’s “What Not To Wear” and TwitterMoms have teamed up to create a fun blogging contest in celebration of the upcoming Shop Smart Look Fab mall event taking place at over 140 GGP malls nationwide from September 17-20. Fifty bloggers who enter the contest will get a $25 GGP mall gift card to use as they shop for that new look! It’s easy, just blog about your 5 fall fashion must haves. Click here for details.

Being a stay at home mom my wardrobe is all about comfort. Once in a while I am able to dress up but for the most part I am in my comfy clothes. At the same time I don’t want to embarrass myself or my children when I go out in public. When TwitterMoms posted their new contest it really made me stop and think about what I just absolutely can not live without in the fall. My five must haves are:

  1. My boots. I have 5 pair of boots that I absolutely can not live without! I have a pair of brown knee high boots, a pair of black knee high boots, a pair of black ankle boots, a pair of brown ankle boots and my Timberland’s that I can wear out to hike.
  2. My jeans. I love my jeans. I have light, dark, low-rise, boot-cut and dressy jeans. It is a very rare occasion to find me in a pair of slacks. My jeans become my best friends when the weather starts to change.
  3. My coats. (2) 100% cashmere JCrew black trench coats. One of them is dressy and one is casual. My casual coat really adds class to my jeans and my dressy coat adds to any church outfit I wear. I have to brag on my husband a bit about these coats. These coats are worth hundreds of dollars but he managed to find both of them for $40/ea! I also have a white puffy coat that is a must have for me.
  4. With the fall comes my beloved UNC Tarheels football. My must have purse is my UNC Tarheels embroidered hobo bag. I also have a matching wallet to go with it.
  5. Lastly I can not do without my cable knit sweaters. I have just about every color you can imagine. I have pull-over, button up, v-neck and hooded. Its like they jump into my cart when I am shopping :) .

There you have it, my five must haves for the fall. What are yours? TwitterMoms, TLC’s “What Not To Wear” and General Growth Properties (GGP) Malls want to know. Visit the post at TwitterMoms to learn how you can get a $10 gift card and be entered for you chance at one of (50) $25 gift cards. Good Luck!
