  • Manu Q or Manu coupon – Manufacturer coupon
  • BOGO – Buy one get one free
  • BOGO 50% – Buy one get one 50% off
  • $2/1 – $2 off of one item (this can be different amounts I am just using this as an example)
  • IVC – Instant Value Coupon
  • ESR Q or ESR coupon – Easy Saver Coupon

Definitions

Out of pocket – this is actual cash spent out of pocket

Catalina – This is actually a company that makes the little coupon machines that some stores have. The stores in my area that have these machines are Walgreens, Lowes Foods, Food Lion, Harris Teeter. I refer to the coupons that print from these machines Catalinas.

ECB – This is CVS money that can be used on anything in there store. There are exclusions (thanks to CVS website) :

*Excludes alcohol, tobacco, lottery, gift cards, money orders, postage stamps, pre-paid cards, prescriptions, and special order Home Health Care items, including footwear. **Excludes pharmacy items paid for in whole or in part by state and/or federal health care programs and prescriptions purchased in-store in NJ and NY, and controlled substances in Louisiana.

These ECB’s will print off on the bottom of your receipt. Be sure not to throw them away because if you do you are throwing away money. You may also have CVS coupons that print off with these. If a coupon prints off this is a CVS coupon and can be combine with a manu q. making the deal even better.

RR – Walgreen’s Register Reward Program. This is Walgreens “money”. These are the catalinas that print off when you make the required purchases. These can be used as cash off of your next purchase. There are exclusions that apply but you must read the fine print on each RR to see what exclusions apply to each RR that prints.

Hang Tag – These are little pads of coupons that you can tear one or more off of.

Wine Tag – These are tags that you find hanging from bottles of wine. Almost all do not require you to purchase the wine it is just a promotion the wine company offers.

Peelies – These are coupons found on a product that can be peeled off.

Printables – These are online coupons that can be printed off and used at your store. You must make sure your store will accept printable coupons before using them. These can either be store coupons for manufacturer coupon.
